What is an RSS feed?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a type of web feed used for the syndication
of information offered on certain Web sites.
RSS feeds provide a way for users to receive newly released content from a Web
site without having to browse to the site.
The use of RSS feeds is now completely accessible to everyone, from beginners
to webmasters. On this page you will find our practical recommendations for making
the best possible use of the RSS feeds offered by Crédit Agricole Private Equity.
RSS feeds at Crédit Agricole Private Equity
CAPE now provides RSS feeds enabling you to receive the latest information as
soon as it is released.
For each article, the feed includes the title, often a summary of the article
as well as a direct link to access the full article.
There are two main ways in which RSS feeds may be used:
- In association with an RSS feed reader or news aggregator installed on your
computer.
- With a compatible Web browser offering integrated support for RSS feeds.
1. RSS feed reader or news aggregator
You will need to download a specific program called a news aggregator or feed
reader that will allow you to automatically receive, at regular intervals (at
the frequency of your choice), the latest updated information from the sites you
select.
The following is a non-exhaustive list of RSS feed readers that may be downloaded
free of charge:
- Alertinfo
- RSS Xpress
- FeedReader
2. Web browser
If you use a full-featured browser other than Internet Explorer, such as Mozilla
Firefox, offering integrated support for RSS feeds, no further setup is required
to subscribe to Crédit Agricole Private Equity's RSS feeds:
- Simply browse to the page offering an RSS feed to which you would like to subscribe.
- On the right side of your address bar at the top of the page, an RSS icon is
displayed.
- Click on this icon, then click OK in the dialogue box to accept this RSS feed.
