Serving institutional investors

Private equity at Crédit Agricole Private Equity

Crédit Agricole Private Equity, the Crédit Agricole Group's dedicated private equity subsidiary, was originally created to manage the group's proprietary investments.

Since then, in full accordance with its shareholder's strategy, it has opened up its funds and its multi-specialist private equity expertise to leading institutional investors.

Institutional investors currently account for 34% of our assets under management compared with 20% in 2005, attesting to growing confidence in our asset management teams. There is now a team of professionals dedicated to monitoring our institutional investors.

Thanks to the Crédit Agricole Group's bank networks, our teams benefit from favoured access to more than one in three European SMEs. Synergies with Group entities

Crédit Agricole S.A. has used its financial expertise in complementary activities such as investment banking, asset management, project finance and business centres all over the world.
Crédit Agricole Private Equity's teams work in synergy with each entity, thereby benefiting from cross-business within the group, which creates value.

A close relationship and support

Our investments

By giving priority to creating value by means of earnings growth rather than financial leverage alone, our teams are able to play an active role in implementing the strategy of the companies in which they invest.

This takes the form in particular of the systematic presence of a member of our staff on boards of directors or supervisory boards, thereby creating a true partnership with companies' management teams. This includes involvement in key decisions concerning the life of the company such as acquisitions, major new hires and devising reporting systems for the company's key figures.

Across all of the companies in its portfolio, Crédit Agricole Private Equity has supported the creation of 7,532 jobs, representing an increase of 38% in the number of employees.

On a day-to-day basis, Crédit Agricole Private Equity follows over 180 companies representing sales of €12 billion.
