Venture Capital

Activity

Crédit Agricole Private Equity has been involved in the venture capital market since 2000. It takes minority stakes in young companies with high growth potential. Its main areas of interest are information technology and life sciences.

Crédit Agricole Private Equity is a leading player in the venture capital market. It focuses on fast-growing innovative companies with strong international potential, run by talented entrepreneurs. The investment
strategy covers all segments of the venture capital market, from seed stage through to later stages.

A partnership approach

We always have a seat on the Board of our investee companies, which helps us develop real partnerships with the management team, make an effective contribution to their strategy and support them in their expansion plans over a period of two to six years.

We listen to their needs and work closely with the management team to provide the benefit of all our expertise in organization, recruitment, investment strategy and business development. This strong commitment to our investee companies has become our trademark.

A team of experienced entrepreneurs

The Venture Capital team has ten professionals from targeted sectors, all of whom have substantial experience as entrepreneurs. They are directly responsible for their investments from a legal, financial, technical and managerial point of view, giving them a panoramic view of each company, an approach that directly contributes to optimizing the value of investments made.

A clear investment strategy

Our investment portfolio focuses on new or emerging technologies and is divided into two broad sectors:
- Information technology: electronics (materials, components, systems, laboratory and manufacturing equipment), design and test software, telecoms (mobile, fibre optics, networks and operators), software (applications, development, administration and infrastructure), web-based technology services (media and
e-commerce);
- Life sciences: drug development, diagnostics and medical device.

2008 development

With Crédit Agricole Suisse Private Bank as sponsor, Crédit Agricole Private Equity has created a fund of funds specialising in the Israeli venture capital market, which is one of the most developed in the world.
