Marc Benchimol was appointed Chairman of the Executive Board of Mezzanis SA in November 2002.

 

As well as holding an MBA from the HEC business school (ISA), he also graduated from the Ecole Centrale Lyon in Engineering and from the Centre des Hautes Etudes de la Construction in Civil Engineering.

 

Marc Benchimol began his career in 1982 as a Project Engineer in the nuclear industry, and went on to manage a scientific software team at Framatome.  
In 1990 he joined Crédit Lyonnais where he pursued his career in investment banking. For six years he worked on consultancy assignments in mergers & acquisitions, long-term financing deals and corporate finance for manufacturing, services and property companies. In 1996, he became Senior Manager in the Leveraged Finance department, arranging senior and mezzanine financing for LBOs of all sizes.                                                         
In October 2000, Marc Benchimol joined Crédit Agricole Private Equity as Senior Partner for the LBO fund and worked in private equity for two years. Among other positions, he was Chairman of the Supervisory Board for the Marc Orian group.

Christopher Underwood joins the Mezzanine team of Crédit Agricole Private Equity in June 2008 as Director.

He is a graduate of Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Rouen and holds an MBA
degree from the University of Toronto.

 

Christopher Underwood began his career in 1995 at SV&GM, the former consulting entity of the Salustro Reydel group, where he was in charge of financial valuations and post-merger reorganisations.
In 1999, he joined PricewaterhouseCoopers as a confirmed manager within the Transaction Services practice, where he performed financial and operational due diligence assignments.
From 2003 until 2008, he served as senior project officer within the Leverage Finance department of IXIS CIB (now Natixis), where he originated, structured and distributed LBO deals.

Jean-Philippe Carvaillo  joined Crédit Agricole Private Equity in June 2007 as an Associate in the Mezzanine team.

 

He obtained a DESS (specialised post-graduate diploma) in Banking & Finance from the University of Lyon and a Master Management from University of Paris-Dauphine

 

After a first experience in Private Equity at Avenir EntreprisesJean-Philippe Carvaillo began his career in investment and corporate banking within the Leverage Finance team of BNP in New York in June 2002.
In July 2005, he joined the Société Générale's Syndicated Lawn Business Department in Paris.

Christine Martinovic joined Crédit Agricole Private Equity's Mezzanine team in October 2006.

 

She holds a Master's degree in Financial Engineering from the Lyon School of Management after having graduated diplomas from the Lille Institute of Political Studies and the Lille Business School.

 

Christine Martinovic joins Crédit Agricole Private Equity's Mezzanis team after completing various interships in the LBO divisions of Natexis Private Equity and AXA Private Equity.
